Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with USDA professionals on research projects, policy development, and program implementation.
  • Conduct data analysis, literature reviews, and contribute to the formulation of recommendations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of outreach and communication strategies.
  • Attend meetings, seminars, and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in relevant areas.
  • Contribute to the overall goals and objectives of the assigned department or agency
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program in agriculture, environmental science, public policy, nutrition, or a related field.
  • Strong academic record and a genuine interest in contributing to USDA's mission.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with agricultural policies, environmental regulations, or related subjects is a plus.
Experience
  • Previous internship or work experience related to agriculture, environmental science, or public policy is preferred.
  • Research experience and proficiency in data analysis tools are advantageous.
Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
