Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis in the areas of environmental science, marine biology, or meteorology.
  • Assist in data collection, interpretation, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with NOAA scientists on ongoing projects.
  • Participate in fieldwork, laboratory work, and data processing.
  • Contribute to the development of educational materials and outreach initiatives.
  • Attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • Pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Marine Biology, Meteorology, or a related field.
  • Strong academic record and a passion for environmental conservation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
Experience
  • Previous coursework or experience in environmental science, marine biology, or meteorology is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with NOAA's mission and programs is advantageous.
Skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
