Responsibilities
  • Support ABS professionals in the review and analysis of ship design plans and specifications.
  • Assist in conducting surveys and inspections of ships and marine facilities.
  • Contribute to research and data analysis related to maritime regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide support in the evaluation of materials, equipment, and systems used in ship construction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects related to safety, environmental protection, and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and documentation.
  • Engage in training sessions to enhance knowledge of maritime classification and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with a focus on naval architecture, marine engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong academic record and a genuine interest in the maritime industry and safety.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and understanding of maritime regulations.
Experience

Previous coursework or experience in naval architecture, marine engineering, or related fields is preferred but not required.
